Abstract

Cancer represents one of the main causes of death in Brazil and in the world, being the target of several researches. Nowadays, there is a search for understanding the steps whose compose the carcinogenesis process. In this aspect, the studies which try to experimentally reproduce such steps are source of everlasting knowledge with. Thus, the purpose of this study was to describe the methodology employed during the implementation of an experimental model to study chemically-induced tongue carcinogenesis.

Keywords

Mouth neoplasms, experimental carcinogenesis, 9,10-dimethyl-1,2‑benzanthracene, hamsters.
