Avaliação da microinfiltração na interface resina composta/dentes artificiais de resina acrílica

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a microinfiltração na interface entre resinas compostas e resina de dentes artificiais. Foram confeccionados 36 corpos de prova simulando próteses em resina acrílica com dentes artificiais fixados. As superfícies oclusais foram desgastadas e tratadas com os seguintes protocolos: G1 - Esthet-X condicionado com ácido fosfórico 37%; G2 - Esthet-X tratado com monômero de metilmetacrilato; G3 - Artglass condicionado com ácido fosfórico 37%; e G4 - Artglass tratado com monômero de metilmetacrilato. Após armazenagem em água a 37 °C por 24 horas, os corpos de prova (n = 9) foram imersos em solução tamponada de azul de metileno 0,5% durante 2 horas, e seccionados em 2 eixos, para realização das leituras de infiltração. As mensurações foram realizadas em estereomicroscópio com aumento de 12,5 vezes e a média de infiltração (%) para cada grupo foi obtida. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância de dois critérios e ao teste de Tukey, ambos com α = 0,05. O uso de resina composta Esthet-X ofereceu menor grau de microinfiltração em comparação ao Artglass, com ambos os tratamentos de superfície. A aplicação de metilmetacrilato exerceu efeito positivo nas amostras confeccionadas com Artglass, em comparação ao condicionamento com ácido fosfórico a 37%. Para a Esthet-X, os tratamentos de superfície mostraram-se similares quanto à microinfiltração. Os tratamentos de superfície propostos não se mostraram capazes de evitar a ocorrência de infiltração na interface resina composta e dente artificial de resina acrílica.

Resumo

The aim of this study was to evaluate the marginal microleakage in the interface between composites and artificial teeth used in complete dentures. Thirty six samples were constructed simulating acrylic resin dentures with artificial teeth. The artificial teeth had oclusal surfaces removed and covered with one of following protocols: G1 - Esthet-X etched with phosphoric acid 37%; G2 - Esthet-X treated with methylmetacrylate monomer; G3 - Artglass etched with phosphoric acid 37%; G4 - Artglass treated with methylmetacrylate monomer. After storage in water at 37 °C for 24 hours, samples (n = 9) were immersed in buffered solution of 0,5% blue methylene during 2 hours and cut in the mesio-distal and bucal-palatal direction, to allow the measurement of marginal leakage. The measurement was performed with a stereomicroscope at 12.5 x magnification and the microleakage mean (%) of each group was obtained. Data were obtained in percentage and submitted to two-way ANOVA and to Tukey’s test (α = 0.05). The use of composite Esthet-X resulted in less microleakage than Artglass, with both surface treatments. The methylmetacrylate showed less microleakage when compared to the application of 37% phosphoric acid solution, in Artglass groups. Surface treatments showed to be similar in Esthet-X groups, regarding to microleakage. The surface treatments proposed in this study were not able to prevent microleakage between resin composite and acrylic resin artificial tooth interface.
