Estudo Comparativo da Resistência de União Porcelana-Metal em Função de Sistemas de Opacificação
Comparative study of strength of metal bonded to porcelain in function of opacification systems

Resumo
O sucesso das restaurações metalocerâmicas depende da eficiência da união da porcelana ao metal. O tradicional sistema de opacificação tipo pó/líquido tem sido cada vez mais substituído pelo sistema de pasta pré-fabricada. Este trabalho objetivou avaliar a resistência de união metalocerâmica, comparando-se estes dois sistemas de opacificação, utilizando um teste de cisalhamento. Os resultados mostraram não haver diferenças estatisticamente significantes entre os dois sistemas, no entanto pesquisas sobre outras propriedades inerentes aos sistemas metalocerâmicas deverão ser realizadas em um futuro próximo.

Abstract
The metal ceramic restoration success is deeply related to the metal porcelain bond. The traditional system of opacification (power/liquid), as been increasingly exchanged for the pre fabricated paste. The aim of this work was evaluating the metal-ceramic bond comparing these two systems of opacification, applied a shear strength test. The results have shown no statistical different between the systems. Furthermore other inherent properties will be analyzed in the future.
