Resumo

O objetivo deste artigo foi comparar, mediante leitura crítica, três diferentes métodos para preparos cavitários: turbinas de alta rotação, jato abrasivo de óxido de alumínio e laser dental. Após a análise comparativa dos resultados descritos na literatura, concluímos que cada um dos aparelhos citados apresenta vantagens e desvantagens, sendo a turbina de alta rotação a que apresenta maiores vantagens no uso clínico e melhor relação custo/benefício.

Abstract

The aim of this article was to compare through critic literature three differents methods of cavity preparations using: high-speed handpieces, air abrasive and laser. After the compared analysis described in literature, we concluded that each method has advantages and limitations and the high-speed hadpieces have major advantages in clinical usage and best costeffectiveness.
