A relação entre os efeitos do ácido acetilsalicílico (aspirina) e o dente em desenvolvimento na vida intra-uterina parece ser muito complexa e até o momento pobremente estudada. Sabe-se que esse fármaco analgésico, antipirético e antiinflamatório é usado indiscriminadamente nas clínicas médica e odontológica e sem apresentar a correta prescrição. A proposta do presente estudo foi a de verificar se o tratamento crônico com essa droga altera o desenvolvimento do germe dental em fetos de golden hamster durante a prenhez, uma vez que se conhece a transposição placentária do referido medicamento. Dessa maneira, propusemo-nos analisar microscopicamente os germes de molares dos filhotes sacrificados com 1, 3, 5 e 10 dias após o nascimento e constatamos alterações estruturais desses germes.

The relationship among the effects of the acid acetyl salicylic (aspirin) and the tooth in development in the uterine life seems to be very complex and until the moment poorly studied. It is known that aspirin is used indiscriminately in the medical and odontological clinics and without presenting the correct prescription. The proposal of the present study was the one of verifying the chronic treatment with that drug it alters the development of the dental germ in foetuses of Golden Hamster during the pregnant ones, once one knows the conversion placenta of the referred medicine. Of this it sorts things out, we proceeded a microscopical analysis of the molar germs of the nestling sacrificed with 1, 3, 5 and 10 days after the birth and we verified structural alterations of those germ.
