Abstract

The authors evaluated marginal microleakage in class V restorations margins at the enamel/cementum junction. Microleakage was assessed by observation of a fluorescent dye penetration. The cavities were restored with glass ionomer restorative cement; with dentin adhesive/oomposite resin and with the association of glass ionomer lining cement/dentin adhesive/composite resin. This study indicates that only M6 glass ionomer restorative cement showed marginal microleakage statistically not significant.

Keywords

Dentalleakage, composite resins, glass ionomer cement, dental materiaIs
