Resumo

O objetivo desta pesquisa foi o de analisar, através de estudo histológico, o comportámento do "Proplast", usado como implante em alvéolo dental de cães, após a exodontia, realizada por alveolectomia total. Deste estudo tiramos as seguintes conclusões: 1. A quase totalidade dos poros do Proplast foi preenchida por tecido conjuntivo. 2. Foi discreta a formação óssea nos poros do Proplast. 3. Foi retardada a cronologia do processo de reparação alveolar. 4. O Proplast não desencadeia qualquer tipo de reação inflamatória ou do tipo de corpo estranho.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was analyse histologically the use of "Proplast" as alveolar dental implants in dogs after extractions by alveolectomy. After analysing the results, the authors concluded: 1.The majority of Proplast porous was filled by conjunetive tissue. 2. The Proplast porous showed a few bone repair. 3. The bone repair was delayed. 4. No inflammatory reaction neither foreign body by the use of Proplast.
