Resumo
Esta investigação tem como objetivo apresentar uma técnica de medida da alteração dimensional linear de presa dos gessos odontológicos e comparar os resultados com aqueles obtidos pela técnica proposta pela especificação nº 25 da A.D.A Tal decisão baseia-se na introdução de modificações que pretendem tornar a técnica de medida de maior facilidade de execução, praticidade e economia. Estatisticamente, foi constatada igualdade de precisão de medidas entre as duas técnicas utilizadas.

Abstract
This investigation has as main objective to present a technique of measurement of the limiar dimensional Change during setting of a dental stone and then to compare the results achieved through this technique with those obtained by the technique presented by the A.D.A The starting point of the investigation is based on the A.D.A Technique but certain modifications were introduced to improve the facilities of execution, the practicability and economy of time and equipment. Statistically, there was no difference in accuracy between the two techniques.
