Resumo
Foi estudado, através de cortes histológicos, o processo de reparação tecidual, após vestibuloplastia por enxertia de mucosa. Para tanto foram empregados 10 cães machos com peso entre 10 e 12 kg. Após anestesia geral, foi realizada uma incisão abaixo da mucosa gengival com um centímetro de extensão, realizando-se a divulsão em direção ao fórnix do vestíbulo. A mucosa para enxerto, obtida da fase interna do lábio superior, foi levada e suturada na área cruenta da vertente vestibular. Em número de dois, os animais foram sacrificados aos 3, 7, 14,21 e 28 dias após o ato cirúrgico. As peças obtidas após fixação em formalina e processamento laboratorial de rotina foram incluídas em parafina para microtomia. Os cortes semi-seriados foram corados pela hematoxilina e eosina e pelo tricrômico de NMC. Os resultados obtidos permitem concluir que a técnica empregada provoca reação inflamatória moderada e de curta duração, permitindo uma rápida regeneração epitelial com integração da mucosa ao leito receptor.

Abstract
It has been studied the tissue repair after vestibuloplasty with mucosal grafts. Ten male dogs were used. After general anesthesia sulcoplasties were made on the labial area and mucosal grafts were sutured to the wound surface. The animals were sacrificed, two at a time, after 3, 7, 14, 21, and 28 post-operative days. The pieces obtained were examined histologically. The results make us to conclude that the technique applied causes short moderate inflammatory reaction and accelerating epithelial regeneration with mucosal integration on the host site.
