Resumo

Os autores compararam a limpeza cirúrgica alveolar, a aplicação de Alveosan sem limpeza cirúrgica e a limpeza cirúrgica com aplicação de Alveosan em alvéolos acometidos por alveolite provocada experimentalmente em ratos. Os animais foram sacrificados aos 6, 15, 21 e 28 dias pós-operatórios, e as peças foram tratadas, coradas em hematoxilina e eosina e analisadas na microscopia óptica. Foi possível concluir que todos os tratamentos aceleraram o reparo alveolar em comparação o grupo com alveolite e com não tratado e, entre os grupos experimentais, o que apresentou melhor resultado foi o da limpeza cirúrgica com aplicação de Alveosan.

Abstract

The authors compared the results of different kinds of treatment of dry sockets experimentally induced in rats. The animals were divided into four groups according to the procedures done: (1) dry socket; (2) alveolar surgical cleaning; (3) Alveosan dressing; (4) surgical cleaning followed by Alveosan dressing. They were sacrificed after 6, 15, 21 and 28 post-operative days. The histological pieces were treated and analysed in an optical microscope. lt was possible to conclude that all treatments accelerate the alveolar repair, when the not treated dry socket group is compared to the other ones. As regards to these experimental groups, the surgical cleaning followed by Alveosan dressing presents the best results.
