Resumo
O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar o efeito do antibiótico sobre a superfície e canal radicular em incisivos reimplantados em ratos. O canal radicular após ser preenchido com soro fisiológico ou antibiótico teve seu ápice radicular obliterado com cera óssea. De acordo com os resultados observados aos 10, 30 e 60 dias pós-reimplante, pôde-se concluir que a solução antibiótica ("Rifocina M") foi superior ao soro físiológico. O antibiótico: a) favorece a rápida proliferação de tecidos conjuntivo e neoformação óssea na área do ligamento periodontal; b) impede a reabsorção radicular inflamatória do 10º ao 60º dia pós-reimplante; c) não injuria os remanescentes do ligamento periodontal, nos períodos iniciais; e d) não evita a reabsorção da superfície e anquilose alvéolo-dental.

Abstract
The aim of this paper was to analyse the effect of antibiotic applied into the root canal and on the surface of rat incisors whose were immediately replanted. The root canal was filled with physiologic saline or antibiotic and had its apex obliterated with bone wax. Bused on the results obtained at 10, 30 and 60 post-operative days we concluded that the antibiotic ("Rifocina M") was more effective than the saline solution. The antibiotic inbibited the inflammatory root resorption, replacement resorption and dental ankylosis.
