Resumo

Foi analisada a influência pré e pós-exodôntica do stress por contenção motora sobre o processo de reparo alveolar em ratos. Três grupos de 24 animais cada foram utilizados, sendo seus incisivos superiores direitos extraídos e o stress aplicado em dois grupos (stress pré e pós-operatório). Os animais foram sacrificados em períodos de 3, 6, 9, 15, 21 e 24 dias pós-operatórios, e as peças obtidas coradas por hematoxilina e eosina para estudo histológico. Os resultados obtidos permitiram concluir que o stress altera a cronologia do processo de reparo alveolar, retardando-o. Essa alteração se mostra agravada quando o stress é aplicado no pós-operatório.

Abstract

The aim of this paper was to analyse the wound healing of dental extraction in rats following stress. Three groups of 24 male albino rats each were utilized; their right upper incisors were extracted and stress was employed in two groups (stress before dental extraction and stress after dental extraction). The animals were sacrificed in groups of four after postoperative periods of 3, 6, 9, 15, 21 and 24 days. The sections of the obtained pieces were stained with hematoxylin and eosin for morphological study. According to the results obtained in the present paper it was possible to conclude that the chronological evolution of the dental extraction wound healing is delayed in presence of stress. These changes were aggravated with the use of postoperative stress.
