Abstract
The purpose of this study was to test a polytetrafluoroethylene membrane to obtain periodontal new attachment after lesion furcation treatment. The membrane was placed over the denuded root surface to prevent epithelial and connective tissue contact with root surface during healing. Clinical evidence demonstrated predictably new attachment in the root disease surface based on the principie of guided tissue regeneration.
