Resumo
Os autores procuram estabelecer parâmetros para o diagnóstico de "estomatite por dentadura" induzida por algumas espécies do gênero Candida. Utilizam, para isso, a técnica de imunofluorescência indireta, cultura de saliva e biópsia da lesão. Observam que o isolamento de C. albicans é um achado quase constante nestes casos e que a pesquisa de anticorpos específicos na saliva é importante para o diagnóstico da doença.

Abstract
The authors try to establish parameters for the diagnosis of denture stomatitis induced by some species of the Candida genus. They use, for that purpose, the techniques of indiret immunofluorescence, saliva culture and lesion biopsy. They notice that the isolation of the C. albicans is an almost constan finding ln these cases and that the detection of specific antibodies in the saliva is relevant for the diagnosis of the illness.
