Resumo

Foram analisados em termos comparativos, os seguintes mé todos de coloração empregados para a demonstração da cromatina sexual no microscópio comum: Hematoxilina de Harris, Cresil violeta, Shorr, Tionina, Guard e Reação de Feulgen. Concluiu-se pela superioridade do método de Guard, pois proporcionou melhores condições de diferenciação dos elementos cromatínicos. Salienta-se, ainda, a possibilidade de se utilizar, com bons resultados em laboratório de citologia exfoliativa, o método de Shorr.

Abstract

The authors comparatively analysed the following coloration methods for the evidency of sexual cromatine: Harris hematoxylin, Tionin, Shorr, Cresyl Violet, Guard's and Feulgen reactions. They atested the superiority of Guard's method for it provides better conditions for the visualization of the cromatine elements, although they also concluded that Shorr's method can be used with good results.
