Abstract

The lower first molar tooth germs of mouse foetuses with 17 days, were cultured during 6 days in vitro, with or with out vegetable polyurethane resin in cultive medium in a humidified atmosphere with 5% of C02 at 37ºC. The vegetable polyurethane resin was prepared from recinus oil and was tested itself only or added with calcium carbonate. The results showed that both formulations were compatible with tooth germ development in vitro suggesting absence of liberation toxic substances of to the culture medium, since the odontogenesis of the teeth were not dsturbed.
