Abstract

It was evaluated in vitro the sealing ability in cervical third of sixty extracted human lower pre molars according to methilene blue 2% microleakage. Thirty teeth were cleaned, shaped and filled with Fill Canal, the other thirty teeth were filled with Sealapex. After that, they were divided in three groups of twenty teeth. In Group I, teeth were placed in stain, immediately after filling. In Group II, after storage in water for thirty days, and in Group III, storage in water for thirty days and removed cervical region of filling material. Accordmg to statistical analysis and used methodology, it tas concluded that: 1. Fill Canal ciment, no matter, immediate period, or 30 days without remotion for core, allowed greater media leakage than Sealapex (6.29 mm and 2.73 respectively); 2. for both ciment (30 days and without remotion for core) the media leakage was greater (5.48 mm); 3. for 30 days penod, and remotion for core, statistically Fill Canal presented meda leakage greater than Sealapex (4.77 mm and 0.69 mm respectively).
