Abstract

The wound healing tissue has always been an excellent subject for researches. ln the present article the cutaneous wounds healing process was studied in the dorsal area of rats distributed into two groups, the Control Group (natural healing without treatment) and Experimental Group (treated with Laser). The wound was made by a punch with 8mm diameter. The wound healing process was evaluated on the third, seventh and fourteenth days after the surgery. A comparative analysis of these results between the two groups lead us the following conclusions: 1. the wound healing tissue was precociously observed in the Experimental Group; 2. there was an increased rate of epithelium migration in the Experimental Group; 3. there was an increased of fibroblastic and vascular proliferation in the Experimental Group; 4. the biologic changes were more evident on the third and seventh days after the surgery; 5. the laser healing treatment did not present any undesirable effect
