Abstract

The Golgi complex of fibroblasts from the rat foot pad was characterized using cytochemical methods. After prolongued impregnation with osmium tetroxide black deposits were seen over the two first saccules (cis face) of the stack, including their straight and dilated portions. TPPase reaction products were seen mainly over the straight portion of the 4 th saccule (trans face). This study added further evidence ofthe compartimentalization of the Golgi complex in collagen-producing fibroblast.
